my gender: fluid like the sea

they ran like strangers into each others arms. their mouths burning bright with the desire foaming from their bodies. it was palpable, tasted like the sea, made them hungry, all in once glance, one look, one subtle movement of a mind, whisper.

follow me, she said.

they followed.

they followed their bellies which led them to the ocean`s edge.
it led them to this water, the water alive all around them, the water in them. alive. jumping. dancing. turning.

turning towards something, in each other. some sameness. some mystery.

we are the sea, she said.

i believe you, they whispered back.

something about her voice echoed, sometimes, somewhere, cave-like. her voice was a cave, calling them inward.
they danced,
they danced, and were fed by the water of their cells, cascading all around them, as sweat. so much sweat. so much sweat today and how many times has this sacred offering of water bursting through one`s skin, how many times has that graced their body with a cleansing, a blessing of something inward coming across a threshold to be tasted and felt like salt, like the sea.

precious body salt,

she offered her tears to the ground.

every day i will cry for you
every day i will cry for you
mother, lover, friend, another one
killed
every day i will cry for you
