the dalai lama comes to colorado
moments of altarism
moments of altruism
of giving
of leaning in
with a cup brimming
i am full
i am filling
i am washing away
and drinking up
the light
the air
the fluid movement that
flows from my limbs
i am learning to write again
i am remembering words
thank you to the poet healers of the world
the ones who persevere
and thrive as resilient wild things
we will burn the buildings down
we will from an internal place
redesign the space
inside our blood vessels,
which will translate to the city streams
and the paved roads
(the body is the answer
the body is the site of social change)
the sidewalks will remember as they crumble
and give way to the earth rising from beneath
our feet,
will remember and greet the earth
walking will become discharge
and we will be healing in every moment
in every cell in every space in between
Beautiful! Thank you for so eloquently sharing your innermost feelings.
ReplyDeleteI once met His Holiness after his driver followed me to their destination at FAU. I could see that he was lost and approached his car with an offer to help. I didn't know who his passenger was until after we both parked. I was on my way to meet a friend and then hear the Dalai Lama speak! He bowed to me with hands together and simply said "Very kind." Day made! Week made! Year made!
That is an amazing story Bruce!!! WOW!!! Hehe, so cool ... how we are all so connected and spiraling around one another! xo
